CYREN Ltd. (formerly known as Commtouch) is a cloud-based, Internet security technology company providing threat detection and security analytics such as spam classifications, URL categorization, and malware detection. As stated in the FAQ, Halon's email gateway includes two components from CYREN, namely;
- CYREN RPD (anti-spam)
- CYREN IP reputation
Report false positives
If you are a Halon customer, you can report false positives directly to us. End-users however, are encouraged to contact the administrator of the system that blocked your message, because some information needed to unblock it might only be available in the logs of that system.
False positives generated by CYREN's IP reputation, which is made available as the globalview HSL function
globalview() == "permfail"
can be reported directly on their website, in order to have an IP address unlisted.
False positives generated by CYREN's RPD (Recurrent Pattern Detection) which is available as the [] HSL function
ScanRPD() == 100 ?> can be reported to us by sending the so-called "ref ID" to our support. The reference ID is found in the text log, on the tracking page, and sometimes in the end-user interface via the HSL function's ["refid" => true] option argument. Please note that only a "confirmed spam" status (return code 100) can be reliably reported. Other results such as "bulk" (return code 50) might need different actions, such as listing the sender as a source of "valid bulk" (return code 40).
